Agency Boarding Homes  
   

Toomey operates four Agency Boarding Homes (ABH), each with a capacity for six residents ages 10 to 21.  The ABH Program provides a structured, nurturing environment in a therapeutic milieu for youth who experience difficulties that necessitate separation from their homes and/or community.  These programs are funded by the OCFS

 
 
     West Onondaga Street Home  
   

This home is located in the Syracuse City School District and serves young males ages 10 to 15.  The program is very structured with a strong emphasis on nurturing relationships.

 
     Allen Street Home  
   

This home is located in the Syracuse City School District and serves male residents ages 14 to 18c with emotional difficulties.  It is a well-structured program with the ability to respond to a variety of needs in an individualized manner.  There is an emphasis on independent living.

 
     Vanida Drive Home  
   

This home is in the West Genesee School District in Camillus and works with older female adolescents ages 14 to 18.  There is a strong focus on developing independent living skills and taking personal responsibility.

 
     Meadowbrook Home  
   

This home is in the Syracuse City School District and works with young females ages10 to 15.  This program provides a highly structured and nurturing environment.

 
 
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES  
Children’s Community Residence (Mather Street)  
Mather Street serves children ages 6 to 12 years old who are severely emotionally disturbed.  This environment is less restrictive than a psychiatric center or residential treatment facility and is designed to provide a therapeutic milieu that focuses on improving self-esteem, behavior management, and skill development.  The program encourages supportive family involvement.  This program is funded by the Office of Mental Health
