This is a Part Time position, 20 hours per week, Sat & Sun 10PM-8AM OR Sun & Mon 10PM - 8AM

Toomey Residential and Community Services is committed to assisting individuals to reach their highest level of capability and to increase their opportunities for success through our community based clinical treatment services and programs. 

The Overnight Awake Program Advocatesprovide support and assistance to young adults with emotional and behavioral difficulties; Conduct several nightly checks, record events, meet the needs that may arise during the overnight hours, provide general security checks of the apartment building. The Overnight Program Advocate is also responsible for clerical work and maintenance of staff office.

Requirements: A clean valid NYS drivers’ license and registered vehicle is required.  High School Diploma or GED required; Associates in Human Services preferred. Experience working with youth/young adults with emotional/behavioral difficulties preferred. Will be required to successfully complete a fingerprinting clearance; have good verbal & written skills; ability to attend training to become med.certified.

Clearances:All positions at Toomey Residential and Community Services are required to attend Virtus training within 60 days of hire and to successfully clear the Virtus background check. This position also requires an acceptable State child abuse clearance background check.
