Description
Facilitate abstinence education for youths 9 – 15 years old and their parents using approved project curriculum, age appropriate training. May include evening or weekend sessions at community centers in the Syracuse area. Collaborate with community and other agencies to develop workshops and recruit new participants. Experience working with diverse families with an awareness of cultural sensitivity. Maintain established guidelines, timely and accurate statistical records and reporting as required by the funding sources and agency policy, procedures and guidelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree required Major: Teaching or related Human Services field. Experience: Work with children 9 – 15 and their families (diverse groups) in an educational environment.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of basic statistics and research. Proficient in Access, Word, Excel and Outlook. Comfort speaking in groups.

Description
Coordinate an after school and summer youth development program for children ages 5 to 21 who are refugees. Plan, supervise and participate in recreational, social, cultural and educational activities designed to meet the needs of youth. Work closely with existing elementary and teen after school programs and develop programming to enhance the success of youth in school and in the community. Work closely with the Refugee School impact staff to facilitate the adjustment of youth to the public school system. Communicate and collaborate with parents, caregivers and teachers. Transport youth in agency vehicles as needed. Program includes many children who speak English as a second language. Maintain guidelines established by funding sources and agency policy and procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree Major: Human Services, Education or related field Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with children and families. Other Requirements: Skills sufficient for oral and written communication. Computer skills necessary. Sensitivity to cultural differences.

May assist in packaging meals for delivery and deliver meals to youth and senior programs in the Syracuse area. Transport individuals or items driving the agency van. May need to pickup items at store, furniture and household items from individual homes or the warehouse. Assure vehicle is safe and maintain cleanliness, report service needs. Other duties as required. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and agency policy and procedures.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma / G.E.D. Experience: Prior van driving would be helpful.
Other Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a clean NYS drivers
license and ability to pass agency driving test. Excellent customer services needed.
