Program Description
Provides 24-hour emergency shelter for women and women with children who are homeless or housing vulnerable. Participants come from situations that include domestic violence, eviction, disaster (such as fire), poverty, sustained housing or a need to leave family or friends.
Support Services Provided
Advocacy, crisis counseling, casework, support groups, referral and assistance with relocation.
Eligibility
Women of any age. However, we usually refer adolescent-aged women to community services specifically geared toward that age group. Families with male children older than age 10 are determined case by case. The shelter is not wheelchair accessible. Limited accessibility may be an issue with second-floor family rooms. No restriction on area served, in and out-of -state. Women need to bring I.D. and social security numbers for each family member.
