Respite Program
The Respite Program provides case management to children with developmental disabilities while providing their parents with respite time. The children are integrated into existing recreational and social programs at various locations and interact with non-disabled peers. Assigned staff support the children while they participate.
- 4 Locations: Neighborhood Centers at North Salina Street (Northside CYO), Edmunds Avenue off Newell Street (Bishop Foery Foundation), Hawley Avenue (Hawley Youth Organization), and Seymour Street (Vincent House).
- No fee.
- Eligibility: Children ages 5-18 and their families. Children must be developmentally disabled, having, for example, learning disability, mental retardation, autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, neurological impairments, or traumatic head injury.
