ParentChild+ Graduation

This week, we celebrated the end of the first cycle of our ParentChild+ program! Participant kids and families received diplomas from their Early Learning Specialist and then enjoyed lunch, cotton candy, a bouncy house and carnival games. Take a look at the fun below!

ParentChild+ is a voluntary program parents opt into that features twice weekly visits from Early Learning Specialists. The Specialists bring books and toys that are gifts to the family and model methods of communication to foster parent-child interaction. The program helps close learning gaps and fosters later academic success. The carnival celebrated the first class in Syracuse to complete the two year program.

We are deeply grateful to all of our amazing community partners, referral sources and funders: Allyn Family Foundation, Maeva Social Capital, Reisman Foundation, the Early Childhood Alliance and Onondaga County – offering funding through their Alliance Economic Inclusion (AEI) grant, and New York State’s Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). Together with the support of the community, they make this important program possible.

You can learn more about the program here.
